Arkansas Earthquake Center News - August 2001

Recent Earthquakes

A minor 3.2 magnitude event (red ball on the map) occurred at 8:13:25 PM (CDT) on Friday, August 3, 2001 (Saturday, Aug 4, 2001 at 1:13:25 (UTC)). According to the USGS, event coordinates are 34.289N Lat. and 93.212W Long. Location is 24 km (15 miles) NW of Arkadelphia,AR. Depth of epicenter is 5 km. The quake was felt by many people in Hot Spring, AR. There have been no report of damage.
