Recent Earthquakes

Two earthquakes measuring 4.6 and 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Iran on Monday, June 15, 1998. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

North Carolina
A small 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook North Carolina on June 4, 1998 at about 10:31 EDT. There were no injuries and no damage reported. The earthquake epicenter was near Davidson, North Carolina, about 20 miles north of Charlotte. Two small aftershocks were also reported.
