Recent Earthquakes

On Thursday, October 15, 1998, a small earthquake occured near Marked Tree, AR. The US Geological Survey located the earthquake at 35.615N 90.407W.

We've been digging through the archives of the Arkansas Gazette newspaper to research reports of past Arkansas earthquakes. In addition to northeast Arkansas, earthquakes have occured near Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Conway, Fayetteville, Mena, and Arkadelphia.
