Fayetteville, Arkansas

An earthquake occured near Fayetteville, Arkansas at 12:44 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 1962. The earthquake was felt in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois and in Arkansas as far away as Corning (Clay County) and Blytheville (Mississippi County).

The earthquake was followed by a minor tremor about an hour and a half later.

Saint Louis University reported a magnitude 4.2 earthquake that was located about 150 miles south of Saint Louis, Missouri.
