May 5, 1960 Earthquake
Pine Bluff, Arkansas
An earthquake occured near Dew Drop, about 3 miles north of Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Thursday, May 5, 1960 where McBryde Service Station began shaking at about 10:30 a.m.
Bottle were knocked off of shelves at a liquor store. A housewife reported that her windows were jarred and that dishes in her frame house rattled.
The earthquake was recorded by the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and by Saint John's Seminary (Little Rock).
