STORING SUPPLIES

BASIC SUPPLIES TO STORE

I. Essential Shelter Supplies

II. Water for Three Days (minimum)

One-gallon bottles filled to the top with fresh water with 3-8 drops of chlorine disinfectant or commercially sold gallon sterile, sealed containers.

Needs:

Note: Hot water tanks and toilet tanks contain some emergency water.

Caution: Toilet tanks may have been treated with a bowl disinfectant not suitable for consumption.

III. Food Supplies for Three Days (minimum)

A. Suggested canned foods:

C. Special needs students dietary requirements (i.e., diabetic, hypertensive, etc.).

D. Suggested equipment and supplies for food service:

*Refer to your Fire Code for storage. Provide adequate ventilation with any barbecue or hibachi fire.
